Toy Store Fair (Doll House & Toy Stores) Visit the Doll House & Toy Stores to celebrate "National Neighborhood Toy Store Day” and a kick-off drive for “Toys for Tots.” Kids can participate in a variety of exciting hands-on activities. Meet the Vdo Bug and operate their interactive stories, chat with Mrs. Fisher Cat, browse aisles filled the “2010 Best Toys for Kids," enter raffles and receive free giveaways. Scottsdale, AZ (PressExposure) November 05, 2010 -- The Vdo Bug is paying a special visit to The Doll House and Toy Store on Saturday, November 13th to celebrate the First National Neighborhood Toy Store Day. Over 500 independent toy stores throughout the country will be participating. The event brings awareness to the importance of supporting local businesses and promises to be a fun-packed day, with hands-on children’s activities, free giveaways, a raffle, and of course, shopping through store aisles filled with unique and creative toys. The event will also kick-off The Doll House and Toy Store’s annual “Toys for Tots.” The Vdo Bug will be dolled up as a ladybug to introduce children to their interactive picture books and compatible computer software and DVD’s. This technology prepares kids for the digital age, and literally makes The Vdo Bug books come alive! At this event children will have the opportunity to explore the animated features of these award-winning stories. Participants can listen to the books in multiple languages, play educational games, sing along--even view live story animals in their natural habitat. The Vdo Bug will be accompanied by Calico Critter’s Mrs. Fisher Cat and many entertaining activities. The event is FREE and runs from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Scottsdale Doll House and Toy Store, located at 16447 North Scottsdale Road.
